My Mystery Girl wig is in!

I got my wig in yesterday! So excited, I can’t wait to get started on it! I’ll be sure to take pictures of it before and after and the process pictures when I get a chance to get started on it. I’m super excited!

I have plenty of time to work on it, since I’m not attending the July con near me. I technically have until November, but I wanted to get started since I knew virtually nothing about wigs or cosplaying in general. I wanted to give myself plenty of time to learn and research and then complete the outfit!

So...I made the decision yesterday to do something I've always wanted to do but lacked the funds and guts to do...cosplaying!

Now, I've been to Cons before. My boyfriend and I have been going to 2 that are pretty close to us every year since we've been together. I love them, he loves them and probably didn't think he would. But, I had not yet gotten up the courage to actually cosplay until now.

It probably also helps that I got a new job at the beginning of the year that pays me enough to live and have a little fun money. Yay.

Anyway, this is going to be a kind of journal of my cosplaying adventure. I have tons of characters I want to try my hand at, one in particular I don't want to attempt for a while just because I really want to do her justice.

Anyway, coming into this I have very few skills (haha) that should really help, so pretty much EVERYTHING is new! I have literally ZERO experience with wigs, prop making, sewing (I tried once, it was horrendous), and pretty much anything else you can think of. So... this will be fun. I will fail awfully sometimes and will document all train wrecks here. It'll be fun. 😁👍
