I may have just entered the four year cycle of Newt Day into my Google Calendar (since there's no way to tell it to repeat an event "every year on the 250th day of the year").

HAPPY NEWT DAY MY FELLOW DELUSIONAL PEOPLE!

Here’s a little thing I thought about:

Thomas and Newt both totally made it to the safe haven and live happily ever after. But sadly, they both have nightmares from all the trauma, which usually includes one of them dying, and usually they’d cuddle to calm eachother.

HOWEVER

In the peak of summer, it’s incredibly hot and cuddling is actually painful for them both, but they still need that comfort, so they hold hands or as Thomas refers to it they “hand hug” to make sure the other is still with them

And it’s like when sea otters hold hands while sleeping as a way of staying together.
