hello tumblr! not really sure what i'm doing, but here we go. i'm an indie musician making little songs with just me and my bird. i'm only on soundcloud and promoting my music here because i have this weird thing of being freaked out by people i know hearing my music and me being aware of it, hehe. probably not the greatest business strategy, but i feel like i'll find my fellow queer, infp, byler shipping people here on tumblr... i also love art, so maybe i'll post my art on here too (?) we'll see.

Hello friends, I hope you're well! Here's my new song on SoundCloud!!

I uploaded a little voice memo thing of this the other week and I was just writing the SoundCloud description just now, so I don't want to repeat myself too much. It's really just about the weird relationship I had with my mum and how dramatic I was about it a couple years ago. Things are going better now, so I just wanted to encourage anyone who goes through this weird, confusing, hurtful parental/familial conflict stuff that IT WILL GET BETTER!!

Hello friends! New music, yay! Here's a rough version of a song I've been working on recently. This one's kind of another I'm tired/burnt out and discontent with the state of the world and society and all the injustices of humanity, but am so brought down by it that I've lost the will to actually do anything about it and then I feel guilty, etc., etc...

Was going for a bit of a different sound. Just wanting to expand my musical range because my influences are pretty broad and it's fun to do different things :)

Hello wonderful human, I hope you're doing well!

Here's my latest SoundCloud upload from a few days ago. This song is an old set of lyrics that I'd had for a while and only added chords to recently. It's one of many that I wrote about this complicated relationship I had with my mum and one of few that really felt right in terms of describing and helping me understand how I felt.

I look back on a lot of these songs and think, 'wow buddy, you were being so dramatic', but I also hold them very dear as songs that meant a lot to me at the time I wrote them.

This one's about just observing people being sucked into deeply nihilistic or cynical views and being a little useless in your efforts to help them.

It's pretty exaggerated and dramatic as usual for my writing, haha. I took this concept and applied it to my dramatic character/caricature guy that I've created and been writing around, so this song is a little puzzle piece in a bigger picture.

I'm not even a massive Phoebe fan or anything because I'm too much of a bastard who likes to feel niche and whatever, but I have to admit Phoebe and boygenius definitely fall into the category of popular indie pop artists that I actually enjoy as a kind of guilty pleasure.
