Newt and you lay in the middle of the glade looking up at the stars unaware of the dangerous lurking outside the walls, “Do you think we’ll survive out there” you murmured lowly before your eyes fell on the doors of the maze thoughts swirling in your head.

“Yes we will so don’t worry because I’ll protect you” Newt whispered before he leaned his head on the crook of your neck placing a small kiss on the base of your neck, you turned your head looking up at the stars once again a smile finding its way onto your face.

Newt’s right hand slipped into your hand lacing your fingers together tightly before he placed a light kiss on your intertwined hands, “How do you know Newt, the maze is full of dangers” you whispered feeling nauseous of knowing you were leaving tomorrow.

“Because I love you and I’ll throw myself in front of danger without a second thought for you” Newt murmured lowly into your ear turning your head to the side to look in to Newt’s brown eyes seeing the nothing but truth and love.

You leaned in closer placing your lips onto his, kissing him softly your right hand cupping his cheek, pulling away slightly to catch your breath “And I’ll do the same for you and for the exact same reason because I love you”
