Balanced and Unbalanced Forces

300 N to the left vs 300 N to the right -- two equal forces acting in opposite directions cancel each other out -- we say they are balanced -- the car will continue to move at a steady velocity in a straight line -- resultant force = 0 N

300 N to the left vs 400 N to the right -- these two forces are unequal -- they don’t cancel out -- they are unbalanced -- it will go to the right -- resultant force = 400 N - 300 N = 100 N to the right

300 N to the left vs 200 N to the right -- these two forces are unequal -- they don’t cancel out -- they are unbalanced -- if a car was going to the right, it would decelerate -- resultant force = 100 N to the left

I saw this restaurant while walking in Waterloo. Looks like the kind of place I like to go eat so I decided to eat lunch here. Very good service. I ordered a club sandwich. When I got my sandwich I thought it didn’t look like a club but who am I to judge. Sometimes I order certain things and I get something else because people supposedly misunderstand me cause my accent. We’ll the girl came back and apologized said that she brought me wrong sandwich and did I still want it? I did but I already had eaten half of the other sandwich, which was good but not as good as the club would had been.
