Could you write a meta about Shunsui, post-war, finding out that Ukitake has passed?
--- ooc. so i think shunsui knew when it had happened before he was told. but because he was in the middle of battle he couldn't process it properly and the entirety of his focus was on protecting the city // the people. once that was over there was still the enormous task of rebuilding the city // healing the wounded and burying the dead. i've written something before about how shun isn't a crier so to speak. but i do think he cried for jushiro but he mourned alone and behind closed doors. he would NEVER cry in front of the others. the day it was confirmed, i would think nanao-chan would have told him while in his new office. this canverous office he never wanted behind a desk that seemed too big. at that moment he would have felt utterly alone, completely gutted. standing behind his desk palms flat on the table just hunched over mounds of paperwork and it all would have seemed SO overwhelming for a job i don't believe he wanted in the first place.
