For those who followed my story yesterday here is the final result! She is fierce! I love that my coworker trusts me with her long locks. I love that there are many, amazing color lines out there, that i can pick and choose bits from many and still am able to produce amazing hair. First, i want to thank my model, @moonlightbree, you are amazing and i appreciate you trusting me with your hair :-* I was lost, making epically bad choices, for many years. I should have died at least a few times, i should have lost my family altogether. During that time i still felt the need to create, whether it was thru paint, make up, or whatever else i could get my hands on. It was a way to escape my life. There were a few things that caused me to finally change my life, but discovering my passion for hair has been a big factor in keeping my life on track. Second only to getting my family back. This is why I thought it appropriate to do a collaboration with my sister to use as my audition. I know there are so many people out there who dont have the support i do. Becoming a tribe member would mean the chance to share that support. I dont regret all the dumb things i did, its made me who i am today and shown me how i can help others who are still struggling to find their own passion. I haven’t ever really considered myself and “artist” but rather someone who loves to create. When I was younger I loved to use pencils for my creations, but that soon evolved into a multitude of medias: music, charcoal, paint, random items I felt were pretty as jewelry. Painting has been an outlet for all my depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember. Than after losing my mind and finding anxiety and depression on a new stronger level I quit my job. I became a stay-at-home mom and fell in love. I fell in love with staying with my son all day. I lost myself bit by bit and could only see myself as “Mom”. Art is what has helped me find myself again. To be more specific designing shirts has given me purpose again. I design and create designs on various nerdy subject because I’m very much a nerd. A nerd of many things. My mission is to help people find themselves by expressing what they love or find and overwhelming amount passion. I want to change the way people think about the things that they love. I want to change the way people think about themselves and calling someone a nerd when we are all nerds. Being a lost boy or girl means that I have discovered individuals who feel the same way about being true to yourself and what you love. It is hard to continue with our individual passions at times when you feel you are alone. However, if we are a lost boy and girl we all may be lost individually, but we still have each other when we need a reminder of why we do what we do. I want to be a lost boy or girl because if we are all lost together than at the very least we have each other. I created this painting with my sister in mind. The two of us are collaborating in our creations for this audition. The creations for our audition started with My painting “Fierce Dragon” . My sisters beautiful use of the colors and creations on Bre’s hair and my design with my shirt came from this painting. Surprisingly even though I did the painting I didn’t know what my shirt would become.
