But said monster person thing kinda hates him nad growls every time he comes anywhere near them, even going as far as to attack him if he tries to touch them?

Eventually said monster could learn to tolerate him

When he finds another monster/God he is ecstatic.

He finally has someone else to be around besides the stick in the mud and the deformed dog thing.

There is the slight problem they been warned of Habit by several outside sources.

The moment he comes near, they are immediately on high alert.

The closer he gets, the louder a growling sound erupts from their throat.

He backs off...For a bit. But he's gotta admit, he likes the guts you have for standing your ground.

And that's what makes him continue to bug you at first.

He shows up everywhere. Home, work, he even somehow 'bumps into them' whenever they leave the house to go out with friends.

Its easy to ignore him for the most part. Until one day he tries to touching them.

Let's say the arm he tried to put around their shoulders was almost ripped clean off.

Habit would be lying if he says he didn't see them as an equal after that point.

Eventually, they start to give in to the small talk he provides.

Some days when he doesn't show up to bother them, they feel a bit lonely.

Of course they would never tell him this. But I have a feeling he already knows.

As a way to calm the waters Habit brings Nex snacks and small trinkets.

Sometimes they'll take them. But sometimes they throw them back at him at full velocity.

Before they started tolerating him a bit better, he was still telling everyone they were his friend/aquantience.

That led to a lot of awkward conversations with people they both mutually knew.

I feel like before the final time they finally warmed up enough to allow him close to them, he had fucked up several times.

Like he had gotten close to being able to be tolerated by them but said or did something stupid.

Like once I'm sure he made a comment on how they like to be alone and he was right back to square one.

The common ground the two share besides not being human is of course the fact that they both probably hate The Slenderman.

Whenever he 'bumps into them in public', he over acts the situation to where Nex knows he did it on purpose to get your attention.

"Well hey there friend. Real fuckin odd bumping into you here at this time"

After he starts seeing them as an equal he consistently tries to get Nex to join in on things he's doing. (Usually it involves murder don't do it)

I hc Nex as being veeery young by immortal standards, maybe even by human standards too. Like, if they were human, old age wouldn't have gotten to them yet.

If Nex were in fact that young, they would totally make jokes that Habit wouldn't get.

The moment they realize Habit doesn't get it they are making them more and more.

Firebrand and Patrick would understand some of them because they would be enough with the times to get a tik tok and be on the internet.

The moment they look at Habit and go 'Good soup' 👌 or talk about being a kid in the 2000s he's clocking out.

Nex would consistently tease Habit for how old he is.

"Frank Sinatra? I thought it was 2021 not 1921."

He would be kept up at night by the shit they would say on a daily basis.

"Firebrand, Nex said someone looked submissive and breedable today. Why are you laughing what the fuck does it mean?"

Nex will try to show Habit tik tok.

Habit will hate it. But what he will not hate, is the fact that people cosplay him.

And that was Nex's fatal mistake because now he never shuts up about it.

"Do people dress up like you Nex? I thought not."

Habit forces them to show him music that Nex listens to.

Nex listens to a little bit of everything.

Habit prefers Nex play anything except pop music on the radio. He hates pop music.

Whenever they text, Nex will use tone indicators.

Habit was confused by them at first.

Then after he learned he used them wrong on purpose to make Nex mad.

Also petition to have the "Nex having feelings for Habit" thing an alternate timeline (not that it changes anything because you can still write about it just as much, I just had a little thought. You don't have to do it either, I'm more than happy with the timeline staying as it is!)

Motion granted. I have been getting different asks about Nex and relaionship pairing and I enjoy doing all of them. To me, I think its a cool concept to take this character and put them in separate pairings and situations. So it would make sense to label each as a separate timeline. -Mod Dirk

Nex would totally have date nights with you once every week or once every two weeks.

You alternate off on who chooses what to do with said date night.

Their friends are one of the most important parts of their lives.
