Just a cute little comic that focus mostly on what Jax and Misty’s relationship is like. I drew the pages out of order, so as they go on you’ll be able to see my development with drawing in this style. More so on the last page, I think.

I have so many ideas for comics regarding the next gen kids. The only problem is that it takes a while to complete, and it’s for reasons like this that I’ve made pre-made backgrounds to I use for the setting and then work the characters around the angles. For example, each background used in this comic all come from the same image, just different parts of said background.

I feel like I can never get the color of Misty’s ectoplasm right. It always feels too dull even though I use the same base color template each time I draw it.

I began this comic with this page, which is why the proportions sometimes look off. At the time I couldn’t really decide which ages I wanted them to be so they ended up looking like different ages in each panel. I did go back later and redo them, though. Not every panel, just the parts that looked off.

It’s for reason’s like this one that I’ve been drawing so many pre-made backgrounds lately. For comics like this where it’s easier to work the character around the background instead of vise-versa. Though, a few parts of the backgrounds coming up are drawn by hand for their individual panels, as well.

Also, I’m hoping to keep a regular schedule of posting one page of this comic every saturday.

This was the last page to be finished, while the last page, which will be up next saturday, was the first page to be finished. I might do some revisions on it before I get to posting it. If I do, I'll put it the original page under a cut, but if I don't, you'll just see the original version. Nothing more.
