NF Clouds Keeping it Real

If you have not heard of NF before you probably have without even knowing it. He has a variety of songs that can appeal to multiple people from his albums to an everyday listener with his singles that have become radio hits before. The rapper Nathan Feuerstain mostly known as NF from Michigan has been on my playlist ever since I first heard his album Therapy Session. I continued to listen and follow all of his new music that he has dropped including his newest mix tape clouds. It is not brand new but it still fairly new for this year and definitely relevant to me still.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzcOPNpKvRY&list=PLlHv2_0xmZFSFguMzwrcj4kpha9rJYg64. He normally mostly only posts albums but I am glad that he decided to release this mix tape. He normally never disappoints me and usually always lives up to the hype and I enjoy all his songs.

This mix tape does not disappoint and in my opinion just adds to his reputation of always releasing good music without caring what anyone thinks about him including the critics. He opens up with his song Clouds which got me even more excited for the rest of the songs on the mixtape. 

NF has unique styles of rapping and this song gives you a good idea of his overall viewpoint as an artist. I fell in love with NF because he raps about his life and his real life struggles such as things revolving mental health which people can relate to and for me made him stand out from a lot of other rappers that are relevant today. He is mostly known for his storytelling and being a good lyricist. This song proves just that and shows he is here to make bold choices and here to stay no matter what comes his way.  Even though it is a good song I also think it shows that it is more of a mix tape kind of vibe compared to his more official albums. Within this mix tape he has songs like Story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YzAOsNAdG0&list=PLfiMjLyNWxebcz9E2od7D6pspS1GKetsB&inex=4  that shows off his storytelling abilities like the name of the song suggests and songs like layers and paid my dues that are more hype and shows off his rapping abilities. which leads me to talk about one of my favorite songs on this tape.

Compared to the last song Clouds this song is one of the more hype songs on the album for me and shows that he has multiple kinds of styles that can appeal to a wider audience while still sticking to his overall theme as an artist. Even though it does not deliver a deeper message like some of his other songs I enjoy listening to and getting into a more hype mood while in the gym or driving. with that being said it does not have a deep message like some of his other songs but this one still gives me motivation to keep going in life no matter what happens because of his inspirational lyrics. 

That is a brief overview in my opinion on clouds and how he continues to keep releasing good music and keeping me as a listener with something that is not as more of an experience like his other albums but overall still releases good content. I did not go into every song into detail but just some of the songs that i particularly enjoyed and showcases his talents and highlights the overall mood of this mixtape. I have read a couple other peoples reviews on these songs and the overall viewpoint I saw that people agreed saying overall it wasn't his best work but shows his different kinds of styles and strengths as an artist such as the review on https://rapzilla.com/2021-03-bar-exam-nf-clouds-mixtape-first-listen-review/
