❝ Oh God. . . ❞ Takumi hissed through clenched teeth, pressing his back hard against what looked like a crumbling support beam of a train platform. His breath fogged in the air, warm and panicked against the cold temperature, barely audible over the deep, guttural groaning of the colossus moving somewhere above them — an ethereal so massive that the ground seemed to briefly quiver at each given step.

❝ Of all the days to lose my goddamn camera ! ❞ He jabbed a thumb toward the broken stairwell they'd barely escaped through, as if Hunter, his pet rat, might scurry out of the shadows and fix this mess with a loud squeak.

He looked over at Belle, crouched beside him. ❝ Tell me you’ve got a plan. Or a grenade. Or literally anything that can piss off a ten-ton behemoth and make it go away ! ❞ Another bellow echoed through the structure, followed by the shriek of twisted metal. Takumi muttered something profane under his breath, clutched his EMF reader like it might turn into a weapon.

It’s disgusting how gangsters have pretty much lay their claim upon the town, he was given literally the job of a lifetime that would keep him within this town in the far corners of Japan. Instead of a food truck Yusuke ran a humble foodstall, where he literally engaged personally with his customers. It was a sensation he had not experienced in a long time..not since he first started in this line of serving food. However, tonight he had something else in mind, rather than work he followed stories of a person (probably yokai) who’s known to be the best thief anyone’s ever seen. The former detective was noslouch when it comes down to pickpocketing himself but this item would be heavily guarded and he’s no heist guy soo why not hire some extra help and ah, he’s come into contact with the hooded figure. Or at least their backs..a woman’s. “Heard ya got the stickiest fingers in town, gonna need t’ hire those fingers.”
