Niccola - People of Nickel
The Niccola are a well-populated folk who take to magic with ease. They are the shining pride of the military class in their affinity for tactics and strategy. Niccola make up the brunt of the Solis Imperium's military force for their brilliance—and are one of the only two kingdoms remaining against the Imperium in the Sun-Touched Sands, the Kingdom of Diamonds. Their seraphic body is Pondus, marking the fourth month of the year.
The Niccola come in a variety of shades, from a slightly golden sheen to faint greens, browns, grays. Their colors are muted but clean.
The magical gift that many Niccola can possess is the gift of telekinesis. Many Niccola use this telekinesis in battle, creating Sworddancers and Bowsingers, individuals who engage in combat with telekinesis either for battle or for show.
The cost of this magic, however, is high, and many Niccola are thoughtful about when to use it. The more the telekinesis is used, the more the body numbs, becomes lethargic, slows, as the Niccolum progressively gets more and more paralyzed, until eventually they cannot move at all.
