I was too awkward to actually talk to him when I met him, but I really wanted to tell him just how much is music actually helped me.
Basically, after my Nan passed away I was really depressed and didn’t see the point in anything. I was scrolling through YouTube when “this is home” was suggested to me, instantly I loved it and so, I downloaded it and listened to it on repeat for like four days...as you do. Shortly after I began listening to more and more of his songs, my favourites quickly became This is Home, Fool and Devil Town. The lyrics reminded me of my Nan and helped me cope with losing her.
I really wanted to tell Robbie this, but by the time I met him my voice was going and I was too tired to function, I had waited for almost two and a half hours. Listening to him live was such a wonderful experience, he was so lovely and adorable when interacting with the crowd and has such a wonderful voice.
According to my friend I was looking at him with “so much love in my eyes it was insane”, she said I looked so happy in that moment; and in all honesty it’s the happiest I have been in such a long time. The atmosphere was amazing, a crowd of people all singing along together, it was...amazing.
So basically, thank you for your music and being such a lovely person! 💛
