#niche pairing

Sometimes, it's a little disheartening writing for a niche pairing.

Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy it. This ship is WHY I started writing in the first place. It's what got me STARTED. And I love it more than I ever thought I would.

But, when there's very little feedback and interaction, it does get you a little down sometimes. And, you wonder if you should continue. (I know, I know. Write because you enjoy it. And I do! But there's still a little part that needs that feedback. I am new and I can honestly say, I don't know if my writing is any good until someone else says it is decent enough to read - someone please tell meeeee)

But also, I WANT TO KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS. HOW YOU FEEL! I WANT TO CONSUME THEM! — CAN YOU RELATE TO THE CHARACTERS, THE STORY, THE EMOTIONS? IS THERE ANYTHING IN THERE THAT MAKES YOU GO "YES!". IS THERE ANYTHING IN THERE THAT MAKES YOU GO "NOOOO".

THEN, I remember the 2 very loyal and wonderful and lovely and brilliant fans of the ship I write about, that DO give me feedback and encouragement and the most wonderful comments. And it fills me with immense WARMTH and the want and motivation to write again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And this is why as much as I want to give up sometimes. The two of you make it hard for me to.

Anyone else in a similar position or can relate to their interest/writing being a little niche? Or needing that feedback/interaction as you write? No? Just me??

Lionel messi/Luis Suarez

Lio/Luis

- Lio tried his best not to blush when he first ran into Luis while picking up his son. He had forgotten that their sons went to the same school. He remembers picking up Thiago to keep his hands from shaking nervously. Luis just looked so different from what he saw in the news or even heard about it. He looked gentler and sweeter, completely opposite from the man he saw on the pitch who fought so hard to prevent being sent back to the harsh streets he dealt with in Salto. Luis was holding mate and offered some to him. Lio tried to focus on that rather than how adorable the other man looked with his son Benjamin.

- Luis loves when Lio jumps into his arms during goal celebrations. He loves how Lio points at him and jumps in exhilarating and happiness. The fee of Lio’s weight, not as heavy as one would suspect when carrying a full grown man, felt so good. He likes to occasionally readjust himself, moving his arm from sometimes the intimate place on Lio’s bottom to just above and around Lio’s waist. For a second, in that moment, it’s just the two of them, alone on the pitch. Lio in his arms. The world feeling a bit safer than before.

Alario/Driussi (I don't know if it exists but I hardly care)

OOOH I like the possibility!

-Sebastian is the younger of the two, but also the calmest. He’s rather chill in his ways. The wrong food delivered? That’s cool. Someone is late to a meeting? No problem. Lucas, on the other hand, stokes the flames. Someone spilled his mate and a flare of anger colored his faced. Give him the wrong drink. Watch out. So Seb uses his just a few words, always low in tone, with his hand on Lucas’ back, saying “It isn’t too bad.”

- Lucas loves spoiling things for Driussi. He finds it cute how Seb gets all flustered in his annoyance in having some spoiled for him especially when it comes to movies. The thing is Seb doesn’t figure out the plot twists as fast as Lucas. “He sees dead people!” Sebastian cried out as he clutched his pillow over his chest. Lucas got it. “Speaking of which - ”Before he could finish speaking, a hand clamps his mouth shut. “Don’t you dare!”

- Lucas fell first. He was struck by Driussi’s smile especially the one that turns up after he makes a nice pass on the pitch. The feelings grew when they were listening to the mister give them tactics. Sebastian was sitting on the floor, legs crossed and arms behind him holding up up, and his eyes gleaming with pleasure like he was living in a dream realized. It doesn’t help that whenever Sebastian runs toward him after a goal that the hug between them sends butterflies into Lucas’ stomach.

- Sebastian doesn’t get why Lucas reads match reports or watches old games so much. Thinks it’s waste of time. That it should be left to the mister and his staff. But he doesn’t complain directly to Alario. Instead, he joins Lucas, usually props himself right beside the other man, and waits. He knows better than to speak while Lucas is so concentrated. It gives him time to just look at him. From the way his nose points out, to the extra fluff in his hair, and even at the way his tongue flicks out whenever he has a realization or two about a play.
