Stuff going on for Nick

I’ll be taking part in our yoga studio’s “Strummer Solstice”, playing guitar while Jess teaches Sun Salutations
Went with a friend to drop off an order for veggies at a local farm - goat naptime seems to be held at cow lunchtime
A good friend made awesome cupcakes for my cousin’s birthday, better than all the local bakeries!
At my jiu jitsu school, white belts may wear only a white gi - blue belts and higher may wear white or blue - teachers may wear black
I was asked by the owner of the school if I’d like to take part in the 8 week instructor course right after I was granted my blue belt
I took part in the 8 week course, and on wednesday I had to teach my first class - this month’s curriculum is half guard - I showed a sweep, a variation on that sweep, an escape to the back, and the baseball bat choke
I got really good feedback, my coach seemed happy with me, and now I need to pass the written test (next week)
If I pass that, there are X amount of hours I have to teach, and then I’m officially an instructor at our school (starting with beginner or kid classes)
So, putting it out there to the universe that this is GOING TO HAPPEN, I ordered a black gi (I can only wear it to open mat for now).
Tonight, my original karate sensei’s 70th birthday! =D
