Our #NickCommunityEfforts from Home! ✍️ 🎨  

Nickelodeon and Burbank High School’s Animation Partnership is proudly in its 8th year pairing students with our industry professionals. And thanks to a few key players, we’re proudly pushing on from home! Burbank High School Animation teacher, Jonelle Pickett got her hands on enough tablets to for her students to finish their films, Adobe offered up its Creative Cloud to students to no cost, and Eric Swanborg, our own VP of Animation Technology partnered with ToonBoom Animation to offer 20 free Harmony licenses! With these resources now available to them, students are continuing in their projects side by side with virtual mentorship from our studio volunteers!

SpongeBob artists Brian Morante @brianmoranteart, Fred Osmond @fredosmond-blog and John Trabbic III @johntrabbiciii visited UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital with Lollipop Theater to bring joy to the kids there and draw them their favorite characters. 

Our hearts are full with the compassion shared from our artists and so many of Nick’s community efforts!

Parker and his family gave us a visit inside Nick with Make a Wish to meet SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenburg, draw with artists from The Loud House, explore the Nick Archives, and stop by the stoop of his favorite Nicktoon, Hey Arnold!

NiCE (Nick Community Efforts) brought Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character designer Alexis Page @alexis-page to Burbank High School to teach animation students about character design!

A big high-three to NiCE and Alexis for bringing turtle power to schools! 💚🐢

Viacommunity Day was such a rewarding, incredible way to spend a workday!

NiCE (Nick Community Efforts) donated 10 Macs and and 10 Cintiqs to Cleveland High School in Los Angeles, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Prop Designer Erik Elizarrez taught them a Cintiq tutorial, to help empower the next generation of storytellers with the tools to create!

Did you know that Nick artists often visit local elementary schools and draw with kids to foster creativity and build confidence through art? It’s called “Let’s Draw”! ✏️💚🎨
