Co-worker: How the HELL do you know that? Are you a secret history nerd?
Me: Um. Well. You see, in the MCU, Steve’s friend, Bucky? Who is the Winter Soldier? His name is actually James Buchanan. And in a lot of fanfic, he talks about how he was named for such an obscure president. In fact, there’s actually an AU where Steve is still Steve, but Bucky is a modern military vet who plays Overwatch. And his gamer tag is “Prez 15”. So, yeah.
