octavia graves - 30 - witch

Having the whole weight on your shoulders isn't easy, especially as the eldest daughter and as a Graves, doing what she could for her own family when her parents were working multiple jobs. And the first thing her parents told her when she old enough was that using her magic was a piece of forbidden fruit amongst their family while also sharing the family tale of how their ancestor's lover fucked them all over -- all thanks to some curse.

While she did have her rebellious streak by secretly using magic once in a while when nobody was looking (and smoked some weed with her friends), Octavia eventually took it seriously enough once her uncle starting having delusions as he got older with his use of magic. So she decided to do what she could do to try finding a way to stop the curse from chipping away at their minds, working her way through school to become a doctor. While she just finished her residency, Octavia has also been learning how to be a herbalist, and hopes by understanding the botanicals of Magnolia, that she might find a way to break her family's curse.

The only problem is that she's had to try not using her magic, which has been increasingly hard since some of what she would have to do includes using magic.

PLOT HOOKS:

Someone to help her break the family curse that'd keep the family secret....well, a secret, from the other covens, when she has the time to do so?? For a long time, Octavia kind of ignored it as a way to cope with it, which is a part of why she would use her magic occasionally. So if there's anybody that's willing to help her, she'd appreciate it (especially since she's sort of been hearing things from time to time....and it's scaring her).

A Marrow to interact with (please make one!). Whiles it totally sucks about what happened decades ago, I can see Octavia becoming friends with a Marrow as of recently? Like maybe she made a pact with them, and was like,"If you want your magic back, and if I don't want to end up losing my own sanity, then let's work together."

Octavia is a responsible smart ass, and I'm sure would love to have those in her life that can handle it and can bounce off her, you know? She's also the sort of person to be like,"NO WITCH WOULD DO THAT," in a horror movie, which would be kind of funny to play out.

Give me all the Graves relatives. Octavia is the eldest of three siblings, and two of them are twins while the other is adopted (so, they're exempt from the curse! woot woot!). I'll be posting a want ad for the entire family very soon as well, so keep your eyes peeled.

Other medical folk. Octavia's been on her own as a doctor,and not a resident, for a couple of months. So having a mentor / mentee relationship would be fun, especially one that's kind of B99's Holt and Jake!

Give me a Dolores Madrigal inspired best friend! I can see them as a dreamwalker, and they could of rooted through Octavia's dreams and possibly found out something was up?? Like they wouldn't know of the curse, but they'd know something's not right, especially with the things Octavia's recently been experiencing.

Maybe some former co-workers at some of the random places she was working at while paying off her tuition that become her friends. She was kind of like a jack of all trades, and would do a lot of small jobs around Magnolia. I can see one of those places being at a music store, and see it being a place she will occasionally work at for some side money (and the music is a way for her to drown her own thoughts in).

Those that she got into a little trouble with back in the day that she still knows.

A romance that's sort of like "will they / won't they". Octavia's been kind of weird about it for a while, knowing of her family's fate is not for the faint of heart. So she's kept an arm's length with people romantically, and I would love it for someone to shake that up for her. It'd be funny for them to be sort of a smart ass as well. I'm honestly up for anything, though.

this would legit never happen but why is this giving me hotch in love with a unsub vibes??? she’s doing something like killing pervs and robbing banks to give to the poor. and so in theory hotch gets it and she’s sooooo pretty and every time she’s caught on camera he has to tell himself to focus. and then one day they almost catch her but he lets her go and she realizes he has a sweet spot for her. one way or another they start communicating. the team is on this long chase for her but little do they know she’s in hotch’s hotel room every night if you know what i mean😏🥵
