I swear to god in the writer's room for iwtv there must be a shitload of Niebla fans because istg the amount of possible parallels with the memory altering thing are incredible. You mean to tell me that we have an audience surrogate who is literally writing down the main (kinda) character's story, a third character has always had agency over the story we the audience have been told and only now do we find out (explicitly), and the mc almost killed himself but was prevented from doing so by the third character who then proceded to change everyone's perspective about it as writer of the whole narrative, with the two of them manipulating each other back and forth the whole time they are together???
