WAH. STOP BEING SO NICE TO ME, LEXI.

Because I need to start developing her, I'm going to talk about my girl, Morana.

Her name is a Slavic goddess of death and winter. Very fitting since she's a necromancer from a frozen continent. (She actually has resistance to cold damage.)

Despite being a witch, she has a very wizard-like view of magic. She views it as "just another form of science", and studies it in a very methodical way.

Aside from her necromancy, she also has a general interest in medicine and the human(oid) body. She also wants to find the source of and a cure for the mysterious magical disease that killed her father almost 20 years ago.

She's hyper-logical, often to a fault. Combined with her utter lack of empathy and tendency to be extremely blunt, she can occasionally come off as rather uncaring. (Which isn't exactly true.)

Her familiar, a raven named Miro, was a chick that she found as a teenager and raised herself. She found him with a broken wing, and took care of him until he was able to fly on his own.

She's actually a very good artist, especially with anatomy / figure drawing. Her notebooks are full of very precise anatomical sketches.

Unsurprisingly, she's not even remotely squeamish, and tends to be kind of surprised when other people are.

She has a very, very, very strong resting bitch face.

She's the same height as me (5'10" / 178cm).

dropping in to say god i love your legacy so much! seeing the family grow little by little has been..phew but also the fun (i,e TERROR) of these challenges are sims dying and im just ough...its like waiting for a shoe to drop! but also im excited to see what kind of plans you have for the girls! did you have any plans yet or going with the flow?

Awh, thank you so much, that's very kind of you to say! Trust me, I feeeel you! There is so much unexpectedness to historical challenges but for me, that's part of the fun! Definitely makes you appreciate and think about what previous generations have endured over the years when considering things like recessions, wartimes, modern medicine, etc.

And what a great question! I don't want to plan too far ahead but I try to get some kind of ideas for what would be fun for gameplay and storytelling at the same time. So what I've done is make almost like skeleton bios, and I decided who fit each one best based on their personalities (so things like their inherited traits, infant/toddler quirks, childhood phases and other random gameplay aspects).

It makes their younger years a lot more fun for me gameplay wise to do it that way and helps me be able drop little hints about their futures :)

it was a trap. the reblog was a way to see who's inbox im invading toooday!! so for the ask a couple of things. since its valentines do you have any sim couples of yours that are your fav? and are there any sims that just would NOT be good in a relationship?

Finnegan & Luca are my top favourites. Their story goes back to 2017, and without giving away all my secrets (unless you affectionately badger me...I will fold), there's multiverse/timeline nonsense happening. The core of it: Luca is Finnegan's anchor. He keeps Finn grounded, tied to this universe. As long as he has Luca, everything's peachy.

Marmalade & Fenna are my second favourite, though I don't like ranking them too much...I rotate obsessions equally. Marmalade (Finnegan's younger sister, also from the 2017 era) is a divorcée by the time she meets Fenna. Fenna's a new addition, but the concept remains the same: monsters exist in my worlds. Humanoid ones: werecats, snake-folk, werewolves, vampires, you name it. Fenna's a werecat, and she's persistent. Marmalade isn't keen on relationships again. Fenna doesn't care.

Gael & Yasmin are terrible at relationships in completely different ways. Gael is Marmalade's husband (or ex-husband, depending on the year). Caught cheating. Yasmin's a proper mess, she's in love with Luca, but her definition of love is possessive and unhealthy. She grows out of it eventually, but it's core to who she is. Side note: her crush was first on Luca's father. So yes, she's terrible at this. (She also may or may not be half snake-folk. Long story.)

Artificer and monk for carrion and cyra(2.0)

HELLO!!! Thank you for asking about my barbarian babies!!

artificer: How good is your muse at picking up new tools/skills? Are they proficient with any tools? How are they at making things with their own hands?

Carrion is proficient with Cook's Utensils. Technically, he got them from his background (a unique one to his campaign), but story-wise, he learned how to cook from Arran, the guy who saved his life after being left for dead by Theodore and the Silver Order. He's not really good at making any things. He generally lacks the patience to put in the work to practice any kind of craft. One of my friends suggested that he would be good at woodworking or blacksmithing, ad I can imagine a version of Carrion who is much less fucked up who could enjoy either or both of those things. Especially if he had stayed a paladin (or even more likely, had never become one) I can see him getting into blacksmithing.

Cyra doesn't know how to make anything, but she is proficient with land vehicles. One of the things she did both in her youth in the Sunborn and in the Iron Maw was driving various desert/wasteland vehicles. I think that, like Carrion, she's not very patient with learning physical skills, and I think she has even less interest in it than he does.

monk: How does your muse regulate their emotions? Are they in tune with themselves? How does your muse find peace?

Carrion doesn't. He's absolutely fucking awful at regulating himself or his emotions. Right now the biggest regulation he's done is stopping himself from panicking and transforming as soon as he found out the Silver Order is at the chapel we're at. (Oh god. In 2 hours I get to play him again, and I'm so fucking nervous, holy shit.) But even with that, he's on the brink of freaking out. He's a barbarian, yes, but his rages are controlled by fear, not anger. A desperate desire to survive, no matter the cost. But even beyond that, he's terrible at regulating his emotions, and he's also terrible at understanding them. When he destroyed his relationship with Valeska (the only friendship he'd had in the last 5+ years that hadn't ended in one of them physically hurting the other), he didn't realize that he considered her a friend (or at least something close to one) until after the damage was done. Carrion doesn't know how to find peace. He hasn't been at peace in at least 5 years. Maybe even 15. I honestly think there's always going to be a part of him that's still that scared little kid pinned under the rubble of his home, terrified out of his mind as the world ends around him. For now the closest he gets to peace is when his body is working so hard that his brain shuts down. When he's fighting or when he's drunk. It's no wonder that he went and did both after he fought with Valeska.

Cyra is better at regulating her emotions (only slightly), but that's mostly out of necessity. She had to keep herself in line and obey whatever commands Nelne gave her, or else suffer. (Not to mention the effects of her abusive mother before that.) Cyra tends to shut down, dissociate, become numb, because confronting her real emotions could actively be dangerous to her. Like Carrion, she's not very good at identifying her emotions, or understanding what she's feeling. She's never had the space or time to unpack any of her own thoughts or feelings on the things that have happened to her, major or minor. She feels at peace when she's driving fast through the wasteland, but even then it's only for a moment, before the memories come back, or before it's back to the job at hand.
