Same used to go for me. I remember LOVING Thousand Foot Krutch. And as far as, I guess it was kinda poppy or alternative Christian music goes, I really loved Newsboys and Super Chick.

dude, I still actually enjoy some Newsboys songs because they're CAMPY AS HELL and the lyrics are actually really cool and inventive sometimes??? I remember listening to Super Chick for a while, but eventually I got bored or something? Can't remember, that was back in like...2003.

The 3 good HARD rock bands though (that were openly christian anyway) were:

Tourniquet (thrash/prog metal, sounds like Slayer)

Project 86 (loud, sometimes ambient, sounds kind of like early Tool)

Circle of Dust (late 90s industrial metal, very experimental)

idk, there's some decent christian bands, but these 3 stood out to me because they were like...similar to certain other popular artists, but stood out enough they they kind of made their own sound out of it, and that's still cool

bonus mentions go to non-hard-rock bands like Jars of Clay's first album, Audio Adrenaline's bizarre "Houseplant Song", and that song where a guy goes through all of his best old-as-balls cartoon character impersonations as they each get saved and sing Hallelujah...sometimes you just have to give points for trying, y'know? |D
