Okay, so I have to gush for a second. I just started this book in earnest this week and I cannot believe I had never heard about the Nightrunner series before now! It is just SO GOOD. Not only is there great world building on par with someone of my favorite fantasy worlds (LOTR, Harry Potter, Dark Tower) but the plot hasn’t sagged once, the characters are fully formed, AND there’s apparently a gay romance that’s central and not just alluded to or foisted off on a side character (although I haven’t gotten to that part yet, it’s just what I was told). I also just have to note how cool it is that a matriarchal monarchy is central to this world too. It just checks off every box in the ‘Shit I Love’ category.
Anyway, hopefully someone on here will have read this so that I can discuss it with them, and if not please get it so we can discuss it!
