Mirrorglaze Nightmare Cookie
Sooooooooo they started out because of my childhood love of unicorns. I was always a fan of building on ideas.
So as a child when I watched the movie, Fantasia I decided that female unicorns were the white ones and male unicorn unicorns were the black ones. Then I realized I didn’t think that was enough and so I decided that female unicorns are white with wings. And male unicorns are black with ram horns and wings.
I thought that was way cooler. They were also at war with earth ponies but that’s a different story.
So when I saw Cream Unicorn Cookie a masc presenting enby MY INNER CHILD WAS HYPED!! A unicorn with fluffy soft features and a cute single horn?????? I had to make a counterpart IMMEDIATELY!!
My fem presenting ram horned unicorn ( yes I know it would actually be called a duo-corn) would be AMAZING!
Or at least I thought so in concept when I did it in practice, I was not happy with the design. Like at all. Something in the energy was off. Somehow batwings and ram horns had betrayed me.
So I tried again and found that I actually preferred a Center horn that was split. It still fulfilled by need for multiple horns and my love of unicorns. Marrying these two ideas after playing around with the design a bit more. I finally came to.
I liked it better at this point. Like a lot better. My nightmare felt comparable to the cream unicorn. But still, something was missing. That was until I started looking at more cookie run designs and I figured out very quickly. It just didn’t look polished enough plus I still hadn’t even made the full horse form for my (duo) unicorn.
I tried to get the major shape language going

You would not believe how much work went into making this horse form!!!
Like the designs of the in game horses were not easy to find! Plus plus then unicorn cookies true from was definitely not as pretty as I last remembered. I could not have my baby looking less than fabulous! So some editing needed to be done. But i did base the design on Cream Unicorn because I very much imagine them as siblings.
Im also planning to animate Mirrorglaze’s Gacha animation! I have already storyboarded it and everything!
