Can I get a tarot reading for my (corrupted) Nightmare Sans canon? Maybe what my relationship with Dream was or what the 'war'/tensions were between me/bad sanses and the 'good' sanses (Dream, Ink, Blue, etc)? Feel free to do just one or even both, I'm not picky

I know i said I wouldn’t talk about it but I REALLY need to rant about the corruption so here have this.

I know it’s not that close to canon, but it’s how my canon went.

⚠️MAJOR BODY HORROR TW!!⚠️

It spoke to me.

The black apple, I mean.

It was speaking to me.

A week or two prior, the villagers went farther than I thought they would. They broke my eyesocket. I didn’t think they’d actually cause lasting damage. But they did. Because no matter how bad my life got, it could always get worse.

I was reading under the tree. Trying to regain my depth perception.

But I couldn’t focus.

Because I heard him.

“They hurt you,” he said. I looked up, then to the left and the right. I couldn’t locate the source. “They hurt you because they think you’re weak.” I thought someone might be playing a prank on me at first. But no, something about the voice was different. Not to mention, it was the same one I’d been hearing since they’d started getting physical with their torment. I wondered, was I going crazy?

“Prove them wrong,” it said.

I hugged my knees to my chest. Why am I talking to it? “They hate me…” I said again. How many times have I said that to this thing? “They think I’m a monster…”

“It doesn’t have to be like this~” it replied, almost tauntingly. I finally located the source of the voice. “Just give in, and you can be so powerful~. No one will ever hurt you again.”

The hypnotic pull of the black apples had been getting stronger over time. No one else noticed. But I did. I told no one, because they’d never believe me.

I barely noticed myself standing up and reaching out to touch the thing. I caught myself right before I did.

“No,” I said firmly, sitting back down. “I’m not gonna do that. I don’t know what you are, but you have to leave me alone.”

And that was the end of it.

For a little under a week.

I had been shoved into the creek. I assured Dream that I had just tripped because of my poor depth perception (I didn’t tell him how I got the eye injury, and he didn’t ask), but it was obviously a lie.

I was shivering under a blanket. My brother was out getting warm food for us both. I was alone, and it was nearly twilight. I guess the villagers decided that they had better things to do than bully me again today.

I looked up at the golden apple.

Why don’t they like me like him? I asked myself. I did nothing to deserve this.

I could be like him. After all, we were twins, right? I could be just as kind and positive. I’ve just gotta prove it.

And I had a way to prove it.

The golden apple, right there. I could take care of it like him, and they’d all see that I’m just as good as my brother!

I reached out to touch it, and plucked it gently from the tree.

But it started to change.

The second it was in my hand, it started turning black.

And they were noticing.

Angry shouts surrounded me, about how I tampered with the tree, how I was killing it, how I stole Dream’s apple. And although the sky was darkening, torches were starting to burn as bright as the sun, illuminating pitchforks and stones.

They wanted to kill me.

I was terrified and cornered, with the tree practically dying behind me. The other apples turned black - except for one. I was too scared to notice it, but one escaped. The villagers didn’t care, though, and they readied themselves to kill me, a ten year old, for making a mistake.

“Give in~” the voice taunted from the blackened apple. “Eat it~. Defend yourself.”

I had no other choice, so I did as it said.

The flavor was impossible to describe. It was… amazing. Sweet, but not overpowering. The texture was weird, but not bad. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg, because I also felt the magic. The power flowing through me. It was addictive, driving me to want more and more.

I could no longer hear their shouting. I could feel pain beginning to blossom in my broken right eyesocket, but I didn’t care, I needed more. So I kept taking them. It only took five apples to start the pain.

I screamed as the stuff started to overwhelm me. Too much power for my tiny skeleton body, and all of it was pouring from the shattered right side of my skull. I still couldn’t stop. Like I was possessed. I ate even more, and the villagers were terrified. Some approached to try and kill me while they still could, while others backed away in fear.

No one got far.

More apples were consumed, and four tentacles ripped out of my back, breaking a few of my ribs in the process. I couldn’t control them, but I could feel them. They stabbed and strangled, all while I was being corrupted.

It took over my body. Shattered my limbs only to replace them. It laughed as I was ripped away from my dying form, and he took control. But I was still there! I just… I couldn’t feel my physical body. Was I a ghost? Was I in this thing’s head? Back then, I had no idea.

Dream took the last apple. I must’ve blacked out from the pain or the trauma or something, cause that’s all I remember. Next I woke up, I was a ghost, floating by the side of my corrupted body, possessed by a demon.

I got acquainted with my new circumstances. I interacted with the thing. It took my name, too, but… I didn’t mind. I’ve never been fond of ‘Nightmare.’ And as he grew caring of me, he started calling me his little brother.

He started calling me ‘Nova.’
