Had this fun Count Donut image idea that I drew in October last year. I also fine tuned the second sketch I made back in 2022.
It's been a long time coming, but here are my reworked designs of these three! After years of hearing about Balance through word of mouth and seeing a few animatics in 2015, I finally listened to it in 2021. I've been a TAZ fan ever since :)
Thought I'd show their original designs from May 2021 too, along with a page of outfit ideas for Taako (slightly reworked) from June of that year. I love the party members equally but can you tell whom out of all three I think about the most? 😅
A quick little eerie concept piece I had in my head
I need to listen to Taz Steeplechase again, mostly because I miss this little weirdo man
In my mind, I feel like the heroes of Angrave would have a group photo after the finale and before the epilogue
Some notes!
Fashion follows Mutt as the King of England but I figured he would at least dress in his regalia for this. Also hell yeah Dracula fang earrings!
Based off a group pic of the Taz Vs Romeo Vs Juliet show I saw on Instagram, I feel like Phileaux would still wear a friar robe. But since he's the Turbo Cardinal (interim) now, I gave him a zucchetto hat. As if to say he used to be a friar, but look where he is now! Also sometimes I forget that he's a blood rage puppet too, so I made some crystalized parts of his body smooth like gemstones
In episode 2, Griffin described the fashion of Lumineaux as somewhat Bohemian and hand made when the party arrives there. So I gave Lady Godwin an outfit that fitted that upcycled aesthetic while also having that aristocratic touch. I also added some lightning themed details in reference to her reanimation.
I've only done doodles of Godwin's mage hand, Crownut, and Aggie so I wanted to fix that by including them in a full piece with their owners!
A small comic adaptation of this little moment between Lady Godwin and Hyde from episode 21 of Taz Vs Dracula
I'm surprised I've gone this far without making a full post dedicated to the BBEG of this entire podcast
I can't help but imagine this Dracula looking like how he's described in the original Bram Stoker novel. Big props to Griffin for making me love and despise this guy
