@clearlyafandomblog submitted: Hi! Found this lovely lady(?) on a hike in central Connecticut, USA. I'd love an ID if possible! She was gorgeous, reminded me somewhat humorously of a SkyDancer in flight because her big ol' abdomen dangled straight down.
Ohoho big friend with lovely wings. Yes I think female, definitely a fishfly in the genus Nigronia, and I think given the wing patterns a banded dark fishfly Nigronia fasciata. But Nigronia serricornis is also possible. They look very similar.
