It’s been a while since I posted anything, but heres my next furigana lined notebook! I thought doing a half -the page vertiacal and half the page horizontal would be an interesting format. I also thought having some large genkyou squares on the left side was a good idea, since I was thinking the target audience for this notebook was for beginner Japanese Learners. I specifically made this for one of my students. Anyway, ths is live on amazon! if anyone is wouldering how the kickstarter picture book project was going, I’m actually finished with the coloring book ands the picture book, and I just have to start the activity book.
日本語
Beginners who are learning Japanese!!!
Hello kind people of the langblr community, I’m looking for a study buddy for Japanese. I’ve taken an introduction course a while ago and now decided to self study bc it seems like I won’t be able to take any classes in the near future bc of corona. I know hiragana/katakana and like basic introductory sentences and how to form affirmative/negative simple statements and questions.
I’d love to have somebody who’s also at the beginning like me (or hasn’t started yet, that’d be also fine) to keep motivation each other, exchanging questions and just generally chat about the grammar, vocab, progress etc. Also just to have someone to hold one accountable.
I use genki 1 to study and I’d be nice if you’d also use it (that’s not mandatory tho).
If this sounds like you’d be interested in it hit me up!
(If there are actually a couple more people interested in this I thought of maybe creating a discord or sth like that, would anybody be interested in that? Hmu!)
(I'm a German native and can speak English obv a little Spanish and Russian just in case someone’s curios or maybe also learning these languages🤷🏻♀️)
Vocab list?
So I feel bad for never creating my own posts 😅
I'm thinking about making Japanese vocab lists if anyone would be interested in them?
Are there any topics people would like to see vocab lists for?

Happy New Year! Next Project: My Childrens Book!
Hi! In case you don't know, I'm going to be illustrating a little children's book based on a short story I wrote in Japanese that I got corrected by a Japanese speaker.
Something else you might not know, is that there will be multiple editions of the book, so you should only purchase the one you think you’d like, as the text is going to be the same. There will be 3 versions of this book, Coloring book, Normal picture-book (with grammar explanations in the back i think), and an Activity book (mazes, word searches, etc). (all books will be in the 8.5X8.5 format if your curious)
The first one I will be making is the coloring book edition. (google-slides doesn’t have bouble text, so the text looks like this right now)
For this book, the text and the image will be on the same side of the page (with the left page being blank). This is because based on my understanding people who color in books perfer to work only on one side because of bleed issues.
Questions!
I have never really been much of a color-iner. I really only ever colored in pages when i was bored and sitting in restaurants as a kid, so I’m not an expert on the things people enjoy to color in, so I would love it if anyone who enjoys coloring books, to please message me and give me advice! I’ll share my ‘wips’ (similar to the image above, but larger image sized) in return for advise on them! For example, should I keep the background empty for a more cleaner look, or should I have some kind of geometric pattern behind to color-in? should I make a circle for the floor? a splat? a straight line?

If any of you guys of Kindle Unlimited, I would be soo thankful if you tried to read this https://amzn.to/3FCyP6y but if not--I will DM a pdf to anyone for free if they want to read it and don't have Unlimited.
It’s a short story about my dog that I had corrected by a Japanese speaker. I'm planning on next year when I have some extra time to turn it into a picture book. The Kindle version has the complete vocab list, and both the pdf and the kindle version have the text of the story twice, first with furigana, and then without.
