I'm also curious about how you'd sort Nikita's characters (Nikita, Alex, Michael, Amanda, Percy, others if you have any ideas).

This show is soooo Snake*, it is hard to see beyond the Snake bias, but I tried. Here are my best guesses so far (keep in mind I am only in season 2).

* Everyone that lives Division does it for personal reason and the show actually links morality directly to the people you love, very Snake. There are also the revenge themes, so yeah...Is it a wonder I love it so much?

Nikita Mears

True Snake, no questions. A Snake show would have a Snake primary protagonist and Nikita is one of the most heroic True Snakes out there. She leaves Divison because of Daniel, for revenge. The only time she works with one of them is because this is Michael, her Michael, and this is a mission of revenge, how could she not help him? Nikita makes signifiant connections with people (Michael, Alex, Owen, Ryan) and thrives because of them.When you join her, she promises two things: revenge and friendship because these are what matters for a Snake primary.

I imagine that the cold, friendless environment of Division slowly killed her from inside and it would have been much worse if she didn’t have Michael with her there. But she still falls into the Loyalist trap of thinking she knows what’s best for those around her, which costs her Alex at the end of season 1, and might have costed her Michael if she didn’t tell him about Max. 

Her secondary is also clearly Snake. Ofc, any spy would need to at least model it, but Nikita is a natural, unlike Alex, which made her one of Division’s best. I remember that season 1 episode where she needs to get a phone number or something and when she’s refused she easily lies that her boyfriend cheated on her with “some slut named Jenny or Kylie whose name is probably the password”. She is good at this and takes joy in it.

Michael Bishop

He shares a Bird secondary with Batman xDD. He is a planner, calculated, prefers to have back-ups and is good at coordinating missions. He has a Snake secondary model, but he is nowhere close to Nikita or Amanda, who are the true deal. Snake primary for him: he willingly joined a shady organization to avenge his family and only changed sides because he found out they were behind it. And also, for Nikita. The guy couldn’t kill her even when they were enemies. Very Snake of him.

Alexandra Udinova

Lion secondary; she rushes into things, can think on her feet, but has a really hard time pretending to be someone she is not. Her best lies happen to be the truth presented in a different manner because she is really not that good at the Snake secondary model espionage forced on her. I think Alex might be another Loyalist, but I wonder if she is a Badger primary. She is far more willing to make connections to new people than Michael and Nikita and is proud of herself when she does a good thing, while being wrecked with guilt by the bad things she is forced to do, especially in season 1. I wonder if she might have burnt when she found out Nikita was the one who killed her father and why she is Like That in season 2. She reminds me a bit of Faith from BTVS, but far less self-destructive.

Amanda and Percy

Pretty hard to sort. I would say Amanda is a Snake secondary with a Bird model or a Bird with a Snake model, I am not sure. Maybe Bird primary? She looks like a cold Idealist, and doesn’t have the need to be in the spotlight when we first meet her. In fact, she only takes power from Percy when it looks like she is not his trusted second in command after all, so she might be yet another (unhealthy) Snake primary.

Percy looks like a Bird secondary or maybe even Badger with his black boxes. Glory hound Lion primary? Idk, it is hard to get into his head.
