Heyyyy, so I am looking for that image of the 8/8/88 rally where Zeena LaVey and a bunch of others are giving the “N*zi salute”… it’s for a post talking what garbage Zeena and Nick Schreck are, and I have SCOURED the internet and it seems to have been taken down from everywhere… I was hoping maybe you might have it saved? Thanks.

To be clear, not every member of Radio Werewolf — even at the time — endorsed these views. Evil Wilhelm, an original member of the group, reportedly abandoned them shortly after the performance seemingly due to worries about the group’s reception among Nazis. Even Zeena, in these interviews with [Geraldo] Rivera, seems less focused on drumming up outrage. She denied any Satanic Panic speculation — offering up tidbits of her wholesome childhood. (Zeena, who now lives in Berlin, was not immediately available for comment via email.)

Flashback to 8-8-88 : Today marks thirty years since Zeena's first public collaboration with music group Radio Werewolf , which led soon aft
Zeena: I was not at all comfortable with the atmosphere immediately after the show and wanted to immediately leave, as was the original agreement. There was supposed to be a car waiting for me, which never materialised so I was stuck in the backstage area with a bunch of dips wanting to ape for the camera. There were some group photos taken and if you notice I'm at the far outer end…why? Because I didn't even want to be in the photos at all. I was the only one standing off to the side watching the others take photos but the ‘Anton LaVey fan-club’ all whined that I should be in the photos with them and that's why I'm actually half in, and half out, of those shots. Nikolas Schreck: Me and Wilhelm gave an interview to Geraldo, and if you watch the interview you can already see the tension that comes across from us sitting together. Evil Wilhelm: During the show I looked around in disgust and said “this is just not fun anymore…”. Zeena: You could cut the tension with a knife, because on the one end of the spectrum you had these goofy newcomers to the CoS, getting off on their 15 minutes of media high, and then on the other end of the spectrum you had this silently smouldering Radio Werewolf drama between Wilhelm and Nikolas unfolding behind everyone else's drunken giddiness…as for me, I just wanted to go home.
Remember: this is all at an event on 8-8-88 ("eight-eight", get it??) celebrating white nationalist cult leader Charles Manson. So keep all of those protests and any other "I was just doing it to be edgy/provoke" sort of explanations in mind as we continue.
In his book from a couple years ago, Spencer Sunshine wrote more about this, and Boyd Rice and Adam Parfrey specifically, downplaying their enormous involvement in neo-Nazi shit in the 1980s through Aughts counter-cultural scene.

The 8/8/88 event was held on the anniversary of both the Manson Family murders and a “destruction ritual” by Anton LaVey, giving it a Satanist slant, too. (Schreck, Rice, and Moynihan all joined the Church of Satan, while Parfrey became LaVey’s publisher.) A group photo from the event shows people sieg-heiling, including Rice, Schreck, Zeena, and the white supremacist Heick. Behind the camera was Nick Bougas, a cartoonist for Metzger’s paper whose antisemitic caricature “Happy Merchant” has become a famous if repugnant meme. The participants played it off as a wind-up. However, some were maybe joking and others certainly weren’t. The photo itself is now hard to find so arguably they weren’t proud of it. Parfrey clearly made a point to step out of the frame during this particular take (one taken during the same session without raised arms includes him). Parts of 8/8/88 were included in the two-hour Geraldo Rivera TV special ‘Devil Worship: Exposing Satan’s Underground’, which was seen by almost 20 million people. The event was a masterclass in “wink-wink fascism”. In public they acted like neo-Nazis, but then assured people it was a joke – all the while actually being in direct contact with neo-Nazis. After the event, Rice wrote to tell Mason: “We’ll use whatever label necessary to put out our thought.”
It's a shame that can't be found now, though.
