Welp. I called about fifteen minutes ago to ask whether or not they wanted me to work tonight and... they want me to come in so no Xillia tonight. ; A; 

in other news, mom walked into my room a couple minutes ago and was like, 'so i don't get paid til friday. so will you pay rent? i'll pay you back!'

sure mom, let me go get the extra 800 dollars i have stashed just in case you can't pay rent on time because you can't seem to half of the time. 

i don't even have 800 dollars for rent. i don't even have a fourth of that. i probably have enough to get me a tank of gas but that's about it.

a friend's sister works at the same place as i do and she came up to me today when she had a free moment to say hi and asked me if it was bad that she didn't know what my real name was.

i told her it was okay because most people who meet me as 'nikki' don't know my real name or assume it's nicole.

Starting next tomorrow I've got 40 hour work weeks coming my way until late March. I think the best thing about my job is that  I can go from 21 hour weeks to 40 hour weeks almost instantaneously. Although, I'm going a different route than I did in the summer, which was morning shifts, which I did like... except for the morning part. Getting off early was nice though, but I like nights much better.

Plus, a Saturday morning shift is a different beast than, say, a Tuesday morning shift, but it's been at least a year since I worked a weekend morning shift. 

...actually I think the last time had to be when Katrina was still around.

I think the last one I can clearly remember was when Matt was still around.

I really wish I had done more tonight. Like stock more or something so that things wouldn't be as hard for Jackie tonight. Honestly speaking, I don't think stock was that bad, but with how mad she was getting because people kept coming in and because of that she wasn't able to do her pre-shift til around a quarter past nine and the fact that they want us to keep labor low and it just kept going up, it felt pretty shitty. 

But as much as I wish I had done more, I also should stop beating myself up over it. I can't really change what's already done or not done in this case, I just gotta do better next time.

ugh. no matter how much I hate my job. any time and every time I call in I feel like I'm going to hell. I hope they find someone to cover that shift....

really, sir? not only are you gonna send me on my half earlier, you're gonna send me before someone else who has been here longer and needs it? I don't care if you're sending me to work halfway across town and so you're all fucking concerned about my breaks when you really don't need to be. and he wonders why people wanna deck him...

so the drunks must have been out early tonight. 

i was handing a guy his order and he asked for ketchup. so i gave it to him. then his friend asked for a sweet and sour sauce and because people are are allowed one sauce for free i give it to them too. and then the guy asks if  i'm always that nice. and i said that i try to be. then he's like, 'only on sundays?'

'whenever i work. though there are some days...'

'i see... do you have a boyfriend?'

'um, yeah.'

'what?! don't tell me that! does he treat you good?'

'yeah. he's actually one of the sweetest guys i know.'

'oh. okay. well, have a nice night.'

...and then there were angry customers. :D i am used to those.
