Title: 2nd Shift Production Team Leader
Locations: Niles, IL
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
5 years Food Manufacturing experience (Minimum)
3 years Supervisory experience (Minimum)
Demonstrated understanding of production scheduling and other variables such as run rates, change-overs, and processing times
Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include associate safety and food safety, OSHA standards, product quality, throughput delivery and cost control
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP
Knowledge of SAP or similar systems
Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, coach, and train associates
Ability to create the environment that fosters open communication, flexibility, innovation, and risk taking within the team
Effective Communication Skills (Will direct English, Spanish, and other non-English speaking associates)
Must have a positive mental attitude
Must be serious about associate development
Speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a Plus)
Strong math and computer skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to operate machinery and equipment
Ability to document and measure results
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Experience in a metrics-based organization is a plus
Key Accountabilities:
Supervises the daily production schedule execution, ensuring that it is manufactured in compliance with the Specifications set forth by the Customer and RPC Maintaining or exceeding, manufacturing Standards, Yields and Efficiencies
Assigns the appropriate amount of staff to ensure that production quotas are met for finished goods inventories
Mentors and motivates associates; provides training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth
Communicates performance standards to associates, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments
Promotes Continuous Improvement Process throughout facility
Directs requisitions for maintenance and repair of production equipment, machine parts, and manufacturing supplies
Ensures Company standard practices and procedures are followed
Responsible for reporting production-related information regarding yields, efficiencies, and other metrics to management
Follows GMP and safety standards
Identify temporary staffing needs
Promotes Quality of Work Life for all employees
Ensures that all required documentation for production records is completed according to RPC policies
Train line leads, and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations
Recommends Recognitions, Promotions, or disciplinary actions based on associate performance
Lead and participate in meetings
Attend and complete any RPC sponsored Training.
