Anime North haul photos!! What a fun, exhausting weekend. The art was so incredible! I can barely manage to go to any other event with how the Artists’ Alley sucks me in. And Naruto art? In the year 2018?? What an adventure.
Top two photos feature art from the very talented @arisa-chibara! I got completely overwhelmed at their booth ;_; So much I loved!! (I had to to take a second photo to show you the back of the bookmarks!)
Middle two photos are the gorgeous stickers from @nimbarae (aka galaxynabi), which I spotted through the crowd like my first half hour in...and immediately B-lined for >< So sweet!
And the bottom pieces are by @rubyartwork, which, if you don’t know them, oooohhh myyy godddd please go look at all their art. Please. The booth was absolutely mind-blowing.

ASHDKAJF I’m talking about “Stealing Harry” by copperbadge! https://archiveofourown.org/series/58157 (on mobile so here’s a shitty link) it’s incomplete as you’ll read in the summary of the series but it’s SO GOOD and he does have the notes in the final fic about how the whole series was going to pan out. I love this series so much.

That's actually really awesome.
It's really awesome when people recognize it. I was once on a customer service call with a guy who knew it right away and we ended up having this long conversation about the LotR movies until he was like "oh yeah, anyway, about your phone service..." xD
It's less awesome when people stumble over pronouncing it and don't really care to learn how, but that only happens rarely. Since the movies came out, pretty much everyone knows what I'm talking about now when I explain where it comes from, which is handy, and most people unfamiliar still think it's a pretty cool name.

My dad is a huge nerd and was involved in this whole marketing/release campaign at a radio station when The Silmarillion was published in 1977. He lobbied hard with my mom to give me a Tolkien name.
