so since i know i wasn’t too clear on the original post, in case you don’t send me a particular prompt i’ll just choose one at random from a generator and do that!

“i saw you taking selfies and i wondered if i could take one with you” AU or some variation of it

He’s strolling around Regent’s Park with Sirius when he sees her, tiny and pale, red hair licking her freckled shoulders. She’s sitting on the grass, feeding the squirrels in what looks like an unsuccessful attempt at getting them to slow down, just enough so that she can take a picture.It’s kind of a hilarious sight, to be honest. The way she huffs out in frustration every time one of the little animals jump out of her palm when she tries to photograph them.

And all right, maybe James has been staring at the girl for a few seconds too long, but he can’t help that her apparent inability to take selfies is so endearing to him. Sirius notices this (of course he does), and with a smirk on his face, dares James to walk over to her and ask if they can take a selfie together.It’s ridiculous, and if the roles were reversed James would probably be a bit creeped out, but it’s a dare, and James never shies away from one, so he does it. He walks over, and running one hand through his messy hair asks the goddamn question, and the girl—Lily, he discovers—laughs so loud all the squirrels run away.

“We actually look good together, wouldn’t you say?” she asks, and even though they’ve just met like a second ago, there’s stars in James’ vision and a flower in his chest.

Ya know what confuses me? How when someome just doesn't like their name, they can go by a different one, but if someone is trans and they don't like their name, they get yelled at and teased with their birthname. Like, i used to have a friend who didn't like her name, so she went by her middle name, and no one fussed about it, and just went with it. But to find out that a relative is trans and they change their name to fit them, my parents get upset and all transphobic about it. O.o

There’s not much to say about it because you already pointed out the absurdity. Transphobia sucks.
