I painted rainbows with my words.

I love the smell of ginger garlic paste

i scoop some of it in a spoon and take

a long sniff of it

the fragrance runs

down in me in the most pleasant way

I walk down the petrol station moaning

at how good it smells

the faint kerosene makes my mind release dopamine

The new book on my old books sees my nose

more than my lips that mumbles

i smell stories before reading it,

my allergy towards mehndi doesn't

stop me from taking whiffs and sighing

with content

and that's how i know

i love the smell of deep stories coming beneath the

earth rather than that of new delicate pollens.
