I was a guest on a podcast recently!
My friend @ninefingersmusic runs a podcast called Alchemy of Artistry, and my song Take Me Back -- from my most recent solo release, the Building Blocks EP -- is featured in the newest episode.
We analyzed the meaning behind the lyrics, discussed my musical history, and I explained the differences between my three projects -- @bloomingheads, @little-tiny-knife, and my solo project -- the best I possibly could. And, overall, just had a really lovely chat with a really lovely person.
Here's a clip of Nine asking me about what particular indie pop show I'm referencing in the first verse, and why the show had me reflecting on practicing self-love (hint: it was a Tessa Violet show)...
Listen to the whole thing on spotify, if you've got about an hour to kill!

The Bloody Nine.
Joe Abercrombie’s First Law trilogy
I made this silly sketch recently to help a friend understand that Kadi and Ninefingers are not the same person. To be fair I did often tend to refer to them by mild german insults instead of using their actual names. And then used the same kind of insult for both of them. So there’s that. It’s a messy drawing but I still like it.

Her name is Ninefingers. Once called like that to mock her, then called that way because she wished so, living so long that all her other names were forgotten. She conquered so much and reigned so long that an entire Age shares her name. And when she died, she took most of the world with her, leaving it poisoned.
A Ninefingers animation that I didn’t get to finish yet
