Let’s Talk Characters

Misako Montgomery Garmadon (LEGO Ninjago)

Okay, I want to start by saying that this is all my opinion. You do not have to agree and you can comment why but do not turn this into a battlefield.

Long post ahead

First things first, I think she receives too much hate. We don’t actually got to know that much about her throughout the show. He learn she is Lloyd’s mother, an archeologist, and had known Garmadon and Wu for years. What we never see is the effect that everything with Garmadon has on her personally. I want to know how she’d truly feels; she was married to him and they had a kid together. All we get is her comforting Lloyd.

Second, there has to be more to her abandoning Lloyd. We know she was trying to prevent the final battle but that’s it. My running theory is that one day as she was watching Garmadon play with baby Lloyd she got a glimpse/vision of the final battle. So she began researching and devoting hours to finding answers. During this time Lloyd was with Garmadon, that is until he got banished to the cursed realm. Misako contemplated leaving Lloyd with Wu, but came to the decision that would trigger destiny; wether that’s true or just her being anxious is hard to say. And so she left Lloyd at Darkley’s, a corrupt school that fooled parents into believing that their children were being brought up to be model citizens. She tried to keep in contact with her son but Darkley’s prevented that. The next time she sees Lloyd is after he’s been hit with tomorrow’s tea and so she thinks she’s been gone longer than she thought making her feel even more guilty.

After making amends with Lloyd she attempts to be there for him as often as work allows, she would even bring him along if it worked out for both of them. For a while she felt as though everything was perfect and almost forgot about the final battle. But when it finally came all she could do was watch in horror as her son was forced to fight his own father. When Garmadon was cured of the evil she finally felt a sense of relief as he embraced her and Lloyd, but that didn’t last long because he soon sacrificed himself to stop Chen and she never got to say a proper goodbye. Then a couple years later he is revived but it isn’t really him, it’s just pure evil. Even after he begins to regain human emotions he has a stronger connection to a plant and a cameraman from the news. So she, along with Lloyd is learning to move on from her mistakes and heal from the pain. They are just happy to have each other, Wu, and the other ninja.

We are not going to talk about her romantic relationship with Wu, that never happened.

A backstory on my oc

Hi so this is a super super long description of my oc Estelle!

Her name is Estelle Violet King and she is nineteen years old! She is the master of controlling emotions. Her parents were both relatively poor and divorced when she was young leaving her two brothers living between two houses in the city. She currently is attending ninjago city college and majoring in psychology.

She lives in a one bedroom apartment with her two cats Stevie and Jen. She has a YouTube channel where she uploads memes but works at a coffee shop down the street from her apartment. She loves drinking tea and eating bread, while watching memes on her four year old computer. Estelle wears a lot of cute outfits and loves doing her makeup. She’s pretty quiet but once you get to know her she is super sarcastic and sassy and hardly ever uses her powers unless it’s for a laugh!

I suppose she is fond of the ninja and wishes she could be apart of the group but she is pretty introverted and shy until you get to know her! She doesn’t like using her powers but when it comes down to it she will do whatever she can which includes fighting like her dad taught her!!

Her weapons are two knives that she keeps in her a holster thingy and down below this is her fighting outfit
