Spoiler Image under the Cut
Hey with that new picture being revealed of Harumi during Seabound let’s talk about that old thing again. Do you all think it’s facepaint or a scar?
If it’s facepaint it wouldn’t make much sense to wear it while undercover in the fields, although it might help Ms Demeanor’s clique to recognise their buyer’s representative. (Though it could also just be because they have this model and face ready.)
If it’s scarring it wouldn’t make much sense that we didn’t see it in her debut, bur she could have just been wearing concealer, since the Emperor and Empress probably didn’t like looking at it.
Thoughts?
Today I offer you dumb crackship nonsense
Tomorrow?
Who knows~
Anyway I’ve finally figured out a ship name for these two: SunScale. So from now on all my shenanigans shall be tagged with that. Sun because I wanted something fiery (Kai) and grandiose (the Devourer), and scale, well, cuz she’s a snake.
S1 devourer
Hey can someone do me a favor and just explain the great devourer to me?
I mean okay. It bit Garmadon, turned him evil, destroyed Harumi’s life an dconsequently Lloyds, yada yada.
But what happend before that?
the first time we see it it is a itty-bitty baby snake biting itty-bitty baby Garmadon. But when Pythor revives it, it is not only ginormous but also stuck... under the ancient city of Ouraboros???
?????
So Wu and Garmadon being confirmed thousands of years old starting in S8 solves the ancient city part. We can also assume the reason Garmadon turned evil was because of a magical/chemical reaction between the venom and his Oni-blood, since he looks like an Oni years later and since the city’s citizens didn’t turn evil; just unlucky and dumb.
But also... how did it get there? You know, stuck? in a giant glowing pit of doom? Who put it there? It only grows when it eats, so it was probably around that size when it was captured?
But we also know that somewhere in between she laid eggs, and a lot of them, which Krux somehow found (those questions are for another time).
Someone captured the Great devourer, likely at that size, found the then-not-ancient city and thought; “hmm. Great place tu bury that still living giant snake that can turn statues to live with its venom in a giant glowing pit” and then created the Fangblades as a weird key to free the beast???
Who would do such a thing? For real, who?
The only, and I mean ONLY person I can see doing this was the FSM. You know, after it turning his son evil, a giant dangerous snake should be captured.(though in the state it was in he should have just killed it tbh.) He’s the only one I can imagine being powerful enough to stop that beast in that state.
And also the only one stupid enough to bury it under a city that wasn.t ancient or lost at the time and to still make keys to free it.
Because those blades were made of it’s fangs, so it was at least that big.
Based off The Great Devourer from Ninjago.
