Okay okay okay what about. Fake dating Adrigami to cover up the fact that Kagami is dating Nino and Adrien is dating Alya. Kagami comes home smelling like Nino (warm, like fresh spiced food and inexplicably a little bit like hand sanitizer) so she covers herself with Adrien the Fragrance to rid of the smell. Adrien always invites Alya to events with him and Kagami to get pictures of the two of them together (to cover their tracks, and also so he has an excuse to invite Alya). The four of them going out together on Tomoe and Gabriel's dime because why wouldn't they, their parents will pay for their dates so long as they're dating each other.

Alya and Nino also start fake dating but specifically for the chaos and because they think it's funny.

I think the first time I started thinking about their dynamic was when Adrien's instagram posted that pic of two of them fist bumping. It would be great to see this friendship in canon 🥺 Then I started considering it as a ship too. They would be a cute couple and probably balance out each other well.

I circled "wlw/mlm solidarity" because they definitely would be bi4bi and "part of a bigger polycule" because I like Adrininogami as well :)

Kagami often considered herself, reserved, when I came to kissing. Small pecks and gentle caresses, things usually done in private, on her own terms and never done without consent.

Which is why she was so very confused about Adrien’s recent bit of advice. To put bluntly, he told her to Surpise kiss Nino when he went on another tangent, particularly when she needed him to listen and not get worked up on something.

It was a… slight flaw that Nino had, but not one that caused any amount of annoyance or frustration, she found his talking to be soothing and engaging.

Unfortunately for the two of them, she didn’t have time to hear about his latest ramble cause they were going to be late, to their triple date, with “Alyanette” and “LukAdrien” as Nino called them.

“Ship names” as he referred to them, she didn’t understand that now but she was sure she would when Nino went on a tangent about them, at a more opportune time.

So, she grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and pulled him in, their lips connected and she kissed him… but he didn’t kiss back.

Parting she looked at him, his shocked and, frankly, hurt expression.

“I have done something wrong haven’t I?”

For a moment Nino opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out, wiping the lip gloss that had gotten onto his lips he coughed into his hand.

“Well, yes. What you did is called the ‘shut up’ kiss.” Nino’s hands waved around in that way that told her he was thinking. “I’ll explain fully later but know that it’s not as romantic as most people assume it is.”

“I’m sorry, I won’t do it again.”

Smiling, Nino cupped Kagami’s face as he pecked her cheek. “Surprise kisses are ok, ‘shut up’ kisses are not, I’ll explain the difference later.”

Leaving hand in hand they got to the meet up point to where the other two couples where waiting, and from the looks of it. Luka was chiding Adrien on the exact same thing Kagami had done to Nino, though Adrien wore Luka’s lipstick like a badge of pride.

Perhaps, she should listen to Adriens advice a little less, besides, she loved hearing Nino talk.

(Just gonna say, I don’t like this trope cause it’s usually done to shut women up who are trying to explain something. So I tried flipping the roles and making it nicer, hope I did it right.)
