I don't understand why anyone would do this. It makes zero sense.
The ninth architect is closely inspecting the plants around them. They seem to be judging something about the plant, using a notebook to give the plants a score of some kind. Then they notice eight's massive airship.

Eighth notices them from where they're steering the ship, and finds a good place to land nearby.
The doors open up to let Ninth come in if they want to.
An Omnipresence approached the Ninth Architect, frantically, speaking with the Twelfth Architect's voice.
"Ninth. The Co-Co-Cogwork Core has been destroyed. I a-a-ask for your assistance in its re-repair-r-r-r-recreation. I have already asked the Eighth. I-I-Is there anything about its functionality in the Book of A-Architects?"

How about a ten page document with intricate details and another ten page document of blueprints? Anyways how in the half priced pickled muck maggot did that happen? Didn't we have a bunch of defensive systems?
