I could totally imagine Sasuke taking a look at Konoha, thinking objectively about putting his back into repopulating both the Uzumaki and the Uchiha clan and knowing the history with this village (lbr it's not great) and coming to the conclusion... that they might need their own village of Uchimakis. Start over, make it better. He takes Naruto and fucks off to Uzushio (Naruto would be convinced). He can wait a few years until they rebuild, then he'll have an entire island to gleefully populate!

That’s Sasuke’s ultimate fantasy right there I suppose, just him and Naruto and an entire island in need of repopulation.  Once they get the first crop of kids up a little older and romance becomes an issue he guesses they can like start hunting possible spouses for sport or something if he can’t convince all of his kids to just stay kids for forever. Either way all that’s just details for future him to worry about.

I’ve always wanted to raise a rabbit. Pangur & Grim I got as kittens, so they are 100% familiar with and accepting of my bullshit, and (on some nights) I sleep with one under each arm. Chiefcake spoiled my plans a little, as even though I got her in prime babyhood, she is still entirely That Bitch.

Chiefcake follows a Chiefcake agenda, which involves a) running fast, b) jumping high, c) doing sick flips. she runs toward you like a puppy, but doesn’t aggressively beg for pets because (being That Bitch) the assumption is, if she’s there & you’re there, that girl’s getting her pets. and, once the inevitable comes to pass, she’ll push her face up in a very cute manner to get maximum scritch.

I’m not sure rabbits are sophisticated enough to have a sense of humour, but if they were I’d be damn sure Chiefcake had one. she chases the cats because her hormones make her territorial, yes, but also because it’s Fun and she’s Baby. if you push her away from a forbidden space, she’ll run a short distance and do a 3-foot kick-flip binkie, as if to say “even a fucking cop like you can’t suppress my youthful flair”. if’s hard to gage personality in a growing animal consumed by hormones, but one day she’s definitely going to kill me with a sword.

Annie, as a Knower of Things and Such, where should I start the whole mdzs universe? The book? The anime? The series?

HMMM

Well, that really depends on what media you prefer to consume. I’d say the animated series (donghua) is perhaps the most streamlined version of the story, but it isn’t quite complete yet. The series is AWESOME, but if it is to be your first cdrama, you will be confused AS HELL at first. I’m used to it now, but seriously, the pacing of it is unlike any western show, and there’s. A Lot of faces to remember. There’s the manhua (manga) as well, which is fairly faithful to the book.

The book is an interesting, LONG read (although if you regularly read longfic, it’s not, like, unbearable), obviously much more explicit than the other adaptations, with a very different vibe, but it IS the complete story, without censorship doing its part. The translation by Exiled Rebels Scanlations is really well done, too.

Basically it really depends on what you feel like consuming, but ultimately it’s really fun to check out multiple versions of the story and compare and contrast. Have fun! :D

Naruto has known about nine tailed fox inside of him for so long, that he forgets sometimes that it’s not just common knowledge. 

“Why did you jump in front of those senbon?” Naruto demands while Sasuke only looks at him incredulously. “I would have been fine! The fox would have healed me!” 

“What?” Sasuke asks, confused. 

“What,” Kakashi says, very much not confused. 

Sakura slaps him upside the head. “Seriously?” 

“Oops?” he offers. He legitimately forgot they hadn’t told Sasuke. Totally his bad about Kakashi though.

Wow if I hadn't thought the kids were spoiled with so many famous parents and uncles/aunts... But now consider there are ALSO grandparents... Just wow... A Christmas must be a RIOT

I guess it just really depends? At least on the Japanese side, it’s very different from the U.S. and New Years is definitely a much bigger family event. Christmas is considered more a lover’s romantic day, and rarely do families get together for it and it’s not even a national holiday. So if they do make a big deal out of it, it’s certainly not the Katsuki/Minami side initiating it ^ ^;

On that note, since I am feeling too lazy to look it up myself since I’m not necessarily planning on making a specific post about it, but if any Russian/Thai folks (or really anyone, for genuine curiosity outside of this AU) want to chip in, how do you guys celebrate Christmas? What are the big family gathering holidays in your culture?

FPH! AU gets even better if we take a moment and imagine the ghosts around Naruto exactly like the ancestors in Mulan, chaotic and competitive with each other, each having the better idea about how Naruto should lead his life. Meanwhile Kurama manages some kind of spirit/soul projection out of spite and basically takes up the role of Mushu just to tell them all to shut the fuck up (maybe even bangs gongs at them every time they try to speak lol)

Oh absolutely. Cause they’re all super duper dead right? So yeah they can be serious about some shit, like teaching Naruto stuff and keeping him safe. But beyond that? They’ve all gone full feral, they’re back to their most base and chaotic selves because why the fuck shouldn’t they be?

Meanwhile Kurama is like “If you even think about trying to possess this fucking fishcake so help me Dad I will eat your souls”
