throwing this into the void to see if anybody else knows what I’m talking about: playing No Man’s Sky on the Nintendo Switch and have the blueprint for Advanced Mining Laser in my Install Technology panel. I have gotten all the materials for this installation twice and have created it, and even took screenshots of the “[technology] installed” confirmation screen the 2nd time. Bc after I install the Advanced Mining Laser, I go up to big rocks/etc near my base site and the game still says “Advanced Mining Laser required” and prevents me from harvesting bigger items…and the tech is back in my Install panel and doesn’t show up as any special new Technologies box like my Blaze Javelin did. I installed the technology once at a Star Base/Station thing after buying (early-game expensive) Wire Looms and the 2nd time I went back to my base to try and craft it there in case that helped. I got “[Tech] installed” confirmations both times. No advanced mining allowed, though.

I just wanna Advanced Mining on my spawn planet. What gives??? :(
