VOTE.

"Boycott Elections" is not a thing. All it does is disenfranchise yourself and your friends.

Government is funded by taxes, which you pay already. They get paid the same whether you vote or not. They don't get paid less if they get fewer votes. All that changes is who "they" are. Voting is not a product we buy, which the lack of purchase will make a company stand up and take notice. NO. All it does is reduce voter numbers, particularly voters like you and who have values like you. That is, people who would vote for stuff you approve of, don't vote. THAT'S BAD.

Even if you are a single-issue voter, and you think "both sides are the same" on whatever issue that is (they aren't, but that's not the point of this post. Even if they were- ), Not Voting is making it easier for the people who disagree with you to suddenly have a say in your personal life.

I understand the desire to gum up the gears of a large system that's not doing good things. I GET IT. ME TOO.

Self-suppressing your own vote is NOT THE WAY. It confers no benefit. It means you failed to exert a power you did have access to.

USE the power you have to make the change you want to see.

I'm not saying to stop at voting. Vote, and then go protest, or whatever other direct action you're into. Great, please, do that!
