বিশেষ সংবাদদাতা : উত্তর কলকাতায় শহরের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ টালা সেতুর অবস্থা এতটাই খারাপ যে বাস চালানোর ঝুঁকি নিল না রাইটস। সেতুর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের দায়িত্ব রেলের। রাইটস রেলের সংস্থা। তারা জানিয়েছে, সেতুর অবস্থা যা ভারী গাড়ি চললে যে কোনও মুহূর্তে ভেঙে পড়তে পারে। রাজ্য সরকার চেয়েছিল, পুজোর সময়ে ১১ অক্টোবর পর্যন্ত নিয়ন্ত্রিত ভাবে কিছু বাস চালাতে। কিন্তু রাইটস রাজি হয়নি। আজ নবান্নে ফের রাজ্য সরকার বৈঠকে বসে। কিন্তু রাইটস সিদ্ধান্তে অবিচল থাকায় পূর্ব সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী বাস চলবে না। বৈঠকের পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় জানান, টালা ব্রিজের ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়ে ১২ অক্টোবর ফের বৈঠকে বসা হবে। বিশেষজ্ঞদের সঙ্গে পরামর্শ করেই ঠিক করা হবে। তার আগে ৩ অক্টোবর বিশেষজ্ঞরা সেতু পরিদর্শন করবেন। রাইটসের আপত্তিতে পুজোয় টালা ব্রিজে বাস চলবে না। মাঝেরহাট ব্রিজ ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যে চালু হবে বলে তিনি জানান।
