Thoughts for a LotF rewriting.

DANNI CONTENT because she needs to be there.
Jacen would turn to the dark side but not as a Sith. He would be possessed by an entity and this somehow split his conscience in two. One « dark » Jacen and one « sane » Jacen.
Mara would die very early in the story and her death would affect Ben very strongly.
Ben would never want to become a Jedi and stays in the order only for his father. But he would never touch a lightsaber and instead become an historian with Tionne.
Mara would really die accidentally. She goes after Jacen because she is worried about him and he kills her while struggling between Sane Jacen and Dark Jacen. He would be devastated.
MORE POLITICIAN JACEN because he is so good at it.
No Jedi Jaina. She is a pilot and actually wants to help her brother instead of killing him.
The Sword of the Jedi title is abolished since Jaina joined the rogue squadron for good. She stills trains from times to times but her real passion is to fly.
Han, Leia and Luke are really worried and try very hard to help Jacen. They never lose hope to save him.
Luke would be angry when he first hears about Mara’s death but he sees her in a dream where she tells him not to let his anger cloud his feelings. She does not blame Jacen for her death and she died with the knowledge her nephew is still alive somewhere deep down.
No strange Tahiri x Jacen or so. Tahiri is still Corran’s apprentice and is saddened to hear Jacen’s fall. She tries to go after him but Corran goes with her.
Also Corran and Mirax adopted her.
Danni is the only person the « real » Jacen can talk to. He is at peace when he is with her and his good side wins over his dark side.
Kyp is really worried about Jacen. He loves him and considers him as part of his family. With the help of Danni and Luke, he frees him from his possession.
No J*gged x Jaina ahah. Zekk is with Jaina (although the bug orgies NEVER HAPPENED PLEASE). Zekk works at the academy and trains younglings who, like him, fell to the dark side. He helps them regain the light and offers them support.
In the end, Jacen is freed but it turns out it was Abeloth who possessed him. The Jedi council orders Jacen and Luke to travel in order to defeat Abeloth once and for all.
