our neighbor texted my mother this and i’m sooooooo annoyed given the two photos attached:

• one of our front yard from this week, wherein you can see that it has BEEN mowed (on monday!!!! and regularly before that too!!!) in the entire zone between our driveway and her property, as well as a couple more feet on the other side of the driveway and 10-15 feet up from where it meets the road (so that it does not look unkempt when anyone drives down the street!). pic doesn’t show how large the mowed part in front is but it IS visible; it also doesn’t show any of the other mowed sections around our Tall Grass Island Beloved By The Critters And My Wife

• one from OVER THREE YEARS AGO??? when a section of fence in the back fell into her yard and then as soon as it was pointed out (again, over three years ago) we dealt with it

AND our town code does not have a max grass height!!! there is nothing dictating ANYTHING about private lawn upkeep!!!!! also the whole like ohhhhh In Discussion With Several Neighbors Regarding The Condition Of The Property like baby 1. i have a door! try knocking on it ! you don’t have to TEXT MY MOTHER????????? 2. this is the ONLY nonstandard thing about its appearance. there’s no trash on the property the paint job looks fine the path and driveway are clear etc. literally your complaint is that we had an isolated zone of beautiful tall grass, not abutting any buildings OR trees OR pavement OR anyone else’s property. a zone we have gone out of our way to maintain in a manner that makes it clear we are doing it on purpose while not interfering with anyone else’s anything!!!!!!! eventually we want to go full pollinator garden native plants mode but some of us can’t afford weekly landscapers, GINA!!!! landscapers who, by the way, park on our fucking grass and LITTER THEIR CIGARETTE BUTTS!!!!
