Marathon bombing thoughts

The trial for the marathon bomber (who wasn't killed) is just concluding. He has been found guilty of all 30 counts. Many carry the death penalty, but life in prison without parole is on the table too. Watching the news and talking to people in real life (not on fb) has caused me to tear up tonight. Sure I'm pregnant, but not a single person has said any insane bullshit. People I talk to aren't vengeful. They don't wish equal suffering. They are sad, satisfied with his guilty verdict, but not hateful. No one (IRL) is wishing for heinous outcomes. Simply saying he did bad things, he will have to deal with his punishment, and being sad about all of it - including in some ways the loss of his life (in whatever way it comes). I proud to be a Bostonian. We are loud mouthed, hard working, proud people. But we are not nasty and hateful. We are compassionate and caring, even for people who have wronged us so seriously. We are not weak. We do not wish for his innocence, but we do not wish for an abundance of torture. We really just wish he hadn't done it. I know I'm hormonal but damnit, I'm so proud to be here. These are some wonderful people I have around. (Facebook is a cesspool of the worst of the worst. This mistiness does not apply there.)

Calm down people

Yes i fully respect every single racist sexist and offensive thing being called out on. And i would do so myself if i ever hear it in real life. But as an RT fan. I feel like yes, some things are terribly inexcusable, for example the first On The Spot that so utterly racist it hurt. But the more we're getting here i feel like the we as the fans have been geared towards targeting slurs that never meant to be portrayed that way? I mean, say how they make fun of ray for being hispanic, or how in On The Spot right after their racist jokes addressed monty as an actual asian and perceive it as a joke. (I myself as an asian don't feel as though i am being threatened. Given the fact that we make these jokes ourselves as well) ex.fung brothers (on youtube) Its not.. I just. Yknow RT grew from the love of the community, and idk if if's because they're getting big but alot of people have been targeting them lately, and by people i mean fans and idk it's.... Disheartening. Protect everybody at all costs sure yadda yadda. But yknow, there're bigger things in the world to worry about, and honestly? You can't protect everybody. And also because we don't to break this community apart right? I mean, we all know how the RT people respect everybody from everywhere and anywhere, without us they wouldn't be here now. And idk why theres been an increase in slurs. But call them out yes! But dont build hatred because of it. Ray for starters, ofcourse he's a minority, and it's still not right for him to be throwing out those types of words. But, if it means anything at all, the way he's been silent in many videos maybe because of several things. Things going on in his life (which we should never probe upon) or maybe its because he's been constantly bombarded with the many hateful comments upon his humor that is acknowledged as 'dry' humor. As in, it's not supposed to be funny. Yet it is. And people get mad when they never hear or see ray again? God just... Yeah

Insults?? Without slurs??

So a lot of people say they want to break their trend of using slurs in insults. Gendered slurs and ableist slurs are currently the most common type of slurs being used as insults against people. SO, here is a list of insults you can use that involve NO slurs of any kind!
