According to UIS data, less than 30% of the world’s researchers are women. UIS data also show the extent to which these women work in the public, private or academic sectors, as well as their fields of research. But to truly reduce the gender gap, we must go beyond the hard numbers and identify the qualitative factors that deter women from pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). 

Women in STEM are capable of anything and are an encouragement for many young girls. Rosalind Franklin, Martha Chase and Barbara McClintock (to name a few) changed the world with their work and now Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna are paving new roads and inspiring millions.

A batch of FX concept work I did for a VR experience about the horrors of nuclear weapons for the Nobel Foundation called “The Day the World Changed”. I was only on the project for a few days, I was tasked with doing concepts that were meant to represent the spread of fear brought about by the use and proliferation of nuclear weapons, I also did the first quick story board pass at the very beginning. really rewarding little project.  Had a great time trying my hand at something a little outside my wheel house
