I'm good at my job. (For those that don't know, I'm currently working in youth services at a public library, which means I get to do fun things like read books with cute kids.) One of my favorite things is finding good books for picky young readers.

I can bake very well. Recently I've been really into cakes. My favorite so far this year was a three layer cake with lemon curd filling and delicious, fluffy lemon frosting.

I can recite an alarming amount of the dialogue from When Harry Met Sally.

I can get to the 4096 tile in 2048.

I'm good at teaching myself new things. Currently that's "how to knit socks."

Circus AUs

Is this a common enough thing in fic to qualify as a trope? I don't know, because I DON'T READ THEM.

This isn't a Seeley Booth I shot a fake clown cause I hate and fear clowns type of situation. I just find circuses... aggressively boring? I've tried to explain this to people before and they usually don't get it. I don't hate circuses, I just have a very active disinterest. I swear it's different.

Despite my aversion to circus stories of all types, a couple years ago I forced myself to finish all of Water for Elephants because people kept telling me how great it was, but ultimately I thought it was pretty meh and didn't really care what happened to any of the characters. 

I don't know why I don't like circuses. Maybe I resent that I'm supposed to find the ~quirky~ characters so fascinating? Maybe I've read so much Victorian (or Victorian-set) lit that I'm just done with them? (I feel similarly about spiritualism, which pops up in the same era, so that could be it.)

But yeah, focusing on a circus is a pretty good assurance that I'll nope out of any story (or book, or film.) I did watch the circus episode of Bones though.

I feel like that dude's etsy shop is like something Stiles would totally set up, but then have all the emails directed to Derek, and Derek would start getting all these "wtf?!?" emails (or, even better, people wanting to buy the random shit), and then he'd get all pissed of and... something something porn? (Wait, I know - they'd fight and fight and then start angry!making out and Stiles would be like, "I didn't use ALL the condoms on those lemonades...")

8 - How often do you listen to music?

Anytime that I'm not reading or watching TV. Well, I sometimes listen to music when I'm reading, but I've kinda lost my ability to concentrate well, which wasn't always a problem. And when I'm not listening to music, there's about a 50% have a Katy Perry song stuck in my head and am pretty angry about it.

Post that TW fic for Patty, so she doesn't kill me?

It's hard to say. I pretty much just call it allergies until it gets bad enough that I'm compelled to go to CVS for extra meds. XD
