genderswap -

i don't care for always a girl if it results in m/f. 2/10. if they're both swapped, 8/10. if the girls are fighting, 10/10

miscommunication -

stone cold classic but only if it's not the "please! just let me explain!" but the other person's already plugged their ears and run into traffic variety. "listening in on a conversation but conveniently stops listening before critical context can be revealed" also pisses me off. maybe i hate this trope how it's done 90% of the time. what was the original question. oh i have to grade it.... 9/10 if people speaking different languages even when they're speaking the same language.

There was only one bed!

A! A+++!! Never met a There Was Only One Bed fic I didn't love!! The perfect combo of pining and sexual tension and sometimes the angst of trying to hide feelings, ohhhh it's so good. And once again, I feel so blessed that 911 is setting Buddie up for a huge influx of fic of one of my very favorite tropes. First it was infidelity summer, then it was phone sex fall, now it's gonna be one bed spring?? I guess??? All of this is catered to me personally, I'm the luckiest person alive.

HMM fake marriage 👀

Somehow I have never written this even though I love it!!! I think it would have to be Shadowheart and someone… obviously she’s like ah yes I shall use my Sharran infiltration techniques, I am a master of disguise. But it’s Shadowheart, so even pretending to be trusting and intimate with someone instantly has her feeling actually trusting and intimate. I think I’m going to go with Gale for this one, because I think he’d put on exactly the kind of disarmingly good and sincere performance of husbandhood that would have her head absolutely spinning
