For an abandoned story project, I came up with other titles for this local cultus of Aphrodite, properly known as Venice Reconstituted by the artist Rip Cronk
Our Lady of Psychedelics
Aphrodite of Wanderers
Goddess of Forgettable Summer Movies
Sea-foam and Beach-blonde
Goddess of Those who came All the Way Out West

Doesn’t it depend on the person? I’m British and I definitely like it very crispy. My cousin on the other hand barely waves his over heat (gross I say). Two opposite ends of the spectrum, same country

Irish person here. I guess it really depends on the type of bacon ♀️ but yes ^^

LOL what, we definitely like it crispy, just not charred
So has Google lied to me then? LOL My search results told me that Brits prefer it chewier than Americans (who tend to prefer crispy) but also that what we consider bacon isn’t the same thing as what you guys do. i.e. we do the thin strips streaked with fat while you guys do what looks like sliced deli meat, kinda rounder, to us. So now I’m sitting here like, does Jemma make the bacon crispy or not??

Scabbers belonged to Percy first, and Ron...
Tbh I think Peter just somehow zeroed in on the Weasley family as a whole for being intensely loyal people who would never fail to protect and nurture him and were also a pretty powerful wizarding family. Percy is of course included in this. Even though there was that period where he fell out with them, he WAS super dedicated to and (arguably over)protective of his family in general (he was the most openly concerned about Ginny during CoS when she seems sick and never forget how he flipped out over Ron being taken underwater in GoF) and was therefore probably similar as a pet owner.
But yeah, the fact Peter just found these people who were somehow just as ride or die as his old friends so quickly is incredible. like I said he had to have a amazing instinct for that sort of thing. How did he first encounter the Weasleys even??? I want to know but also don’t want JKR to tell me because she’d probably retcon in something weird as she is now so. I’ll just leave that to fanfic.

she`ll live. That theory of regeneration energy floating away (this time for a reason) is a thing that will save her is very doctor whoish
If Grace truly lives I promise to sign over my soul to Chibnall for good. He can have it. Then I’ll trust him with it.

Yoda's advice makes so much sense when you know he thinks Anakin is talking about Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan's death. "Obi-Wan will return to the Force, that's not a bad thing, hopefully you will see him again." His advice would definitely have been different if he'd known Anakin was talking about a non-Jedi. :O
I think so, too! I think Yoda’s advice makes more sense when you take into context where he’s coming from, rather than what we know of Anakin’s point of view that Yoda doesn’t know.He’s obviously picking up on the really bad vibes that Anakin’s putting out and trying to address those (in his word salad sort of way, because that’s the trope of the weird little alien frog man that Star Wars wanted!) at the heart of the matter, rather than get caught up in details that won’t ultimately change anything because visions are such tricky things.But also they have this mystical energy field that’s very much real to them, they can touch it every single day of their lives, it’s not a theoretical, it’s right there. Advice based on thinking Anakin was talking about Obi-Wan (who Yoda knows would want Anakin to cherish their time together and let go of him when it’s time) versus thinking Anakin was talking about a non-Jedi is a pretty different thing! Though, at the heart of the problem, Anakin was still looking for advice Yoda was never going to give (how to stop death) and so it was doomed to failure and feeling like he was being rejected from the beginning. ;__;

Favourite Christmas Special, definitely. I love the idea of an afterparty.
I think a general “Favourite Special” prompt, then? Day of the Doctor is always a great episode to write about and there’s no reason not to include it, too.
I noticed with how stressful things have been for me, that it’s often just as much a challenge to read people’s wonderful meta than it is to make posts myself during MAD. So just from that perspective, I thought it be nice to not just rush through our own contributions, but take the time to appreciate the fandom, too :).
Lying on the couch, recovering from a bad health day. Had an irregular heart rhythm this afternoon, though I think I've had it for a week or so. (It'd go away and come back over and over, annoying me.) I took some medication and finally my heart rhythm is back to normal, but now I feel like all my energy is gone. Ugh.
I hope everyone else had a better day. I know @xingshining did. She became an aunt for a second time, SO HEY. THAT IS AWESOME. I really am happy for you, bf, even though it seemed like all I did was complain. A new baby in the family is the best thing to celebrate. ❤️
